Starting Hand Chart

This will be an interesting Project, will be putting links to starting hands and how to play them according to our members, pro’s and authors.

I think before you can deviate from fundamental play – you have to understand what fundamental play is…so an indepth discussion on how to play hands, with HH, comments and links to starting hands.

You’re absolutely right… and now that you’ve mentioned, i think i’ve been playing my starting hands in bot mode :S .I”ll follow this one very close.

I put the HoH Starting hand chart up – taken right out of Harrington. It’s obviously not ‘correct’ to play that way all the time, depending on chip stacks, M-Factor (is that the same thing) aggression, table image etc. However everyone once in a while when your struggling – calling raises with J10s or whatever, it’s nice to refer back to it.

I think knowing your openings (like chess according to Andy Block) is key to being successful on line….where preflop play is nutz.

I think its clear Harrington is outdated. Now everything choice you make is effected by so many factors that you have to be able to make decisions based less on starting hands. HOWEVER – I think you have to appreciate hand strength and ideally have a building block of what to do by having several examples of what is done by top flight pro’s.
